Medium voltage infrastructure is the point at which the public electricity network enters your building. It requires specialist design, approved equipment, and certified installation: EL-Secure delivers all three
In Luxembourg, buildings with a high electrical demand such as large commercial properties, shopping centres, hospitals, industrial facilities, data centres and major public infrastructure require a private medium voltage substation to step down the distribution network supply (typically 20kV) to the building's low voltage distribution (400/230V)
EL-Secure manages the complete medium voltage installation: from the initial power demand study and coordination with Creos (Luxembourg's electricity distribution system operator) through to the design, supply, civil works, installation and commissioning of the substation and associated equipment.
Generator sets are installed alongside or independently of substations to provide standby power in the event of a mains supply interruption, an essential requirement for hospitals, data centres, emergency services and any facility where a power failure is unacceptable.
